Cookie Policy

This notice, issued under the Italian DPA's 10 June 2021 Guidelines on Cookies and Other Tracking Tools, describes how polara-ai.com uses cookies and local-storage technologies.

1. Summary

The site uses technologies necessary for its operation and, only after consent, marketing technologies. The consent panel lets visitors accept, reject, or select categories, and change their choice at any time through Review cookie choices in the footer.

2. What the site stores in your browser

a) Technical localStorage

When you switch theme (light/dark), we save your choice in localStorage under the key polara-theme. It's a purely technical UI preference, not identifying, not shared with any server. Under regulation it is equivalent to a technical cookie and does not require consent.

b) Consent, security, and Google Ads

Complianz stores and applies the consent choice. The choice is retained for six months unless the visitor changes it or processing changes materially. Cloudflare Turnstile is used on protected forms as an anti-abuse measure.

Google Ads (gtag.js) is marketing technology. Its script is blocked until marketing consent. When activated, Google may set or read storage technologies and process data for conversion measurement and the configured advertising functions. Google Consent Mode v2 receives the consent choices from the CMP; Google Ads is not described as anonymous, cookieless, or exempt from consent.

3. Third-party cookies

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, HubSpot, or LinkedIn Insight. The AI chatbot is a Polara implementation and its conversation history exists only in browser-tab memory and is lost on refresh. Any future non-essential third-party service will be classified and blocked until consent before activation.

When you click a link to Google Calendar to book a call, you are redirected to Google's site. From that point Google's own cookies and privacy policy apply, not ours.

5. How to clear what the site has stored

You can clear localStorage at any time from your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → See all data → search "polara-ai.com" → Remove.
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → search "polara-ai.com" → Remove.
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search "polara-ai.com" → Remove.
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies → See all cookies → search "polara-ai.com" → Delete.

6. If we change tools

Before introducing additional non-essential technologies, we will update this page, the consent panel, and the technology register, blocking those technologies until consent where required.
